Advocacy & Navigation Support

As your RN patient advocate, my job is to be your oversight and support during your hospital or nursing facility stay. I will collaborate with the client, the family and the health care team to ensure you receive appropriate care and adherence to the care plan.  I will provide updates, visit during admissions and be available for any issues, questions or concerns that may arise.  I will use my knowledge and experience to assist in making supported, informed decisions throughout the in-patient and discharge process.

Continuing Support

Navigating the healthcare system alone can be overwhelming and challenging.  As your patient advocate I will accompany the client to doctors visits, summarize the visit and communicate needs/concerns to the medical team.  I can review medications, obtain medical records, facilitate communication and educate the client and family.  I will also coordinate any follow up to ensure recommended tests/appointments are completed.

Medical Chart/Billing Review

Understanding your medical bills and health records can be a daunting task, with my background and knowledge I can make it easier for you. As an experienced RN, I can walk you through your medical record and help you understand medications, diagnosis and treatments.  Confused about a medical bill or insurance coverage, I will take the time to review charges, coverage and call the insurance company if necessary to remediate billing errors.
